Indoor Pickleball Near Braintree
Braintree Friends, Swap the Usual Plans for Something Everyone Can Play
The same restaurants, the same pub quiz, the same conversation about what to do next weekend. When the weather turns, outdoor courts are a write off and evenings in Braintree start to blur into one.
Foxes Pickleball is a private indoor court in a converted barn on our working farm at Eight Ash Green, around 20 minutes from Braintree. Take the A120 east past Coggeshall and you are almost there, with parking right outside the barn. When you book, the court is yours for the hour.
Why Braintree groups are booking a court
If you love padel, you will love this. Pickleball has the same fast, sociable rallies, with a slower ball and a smaller court, so beginners are playing proper points within about 10 minutes. No experience and no kit needed.
It works well for work socials from Braintree, Great Notley and Rayne. Nobody gets left on the sidelines, the least sporty person in the office often turns out to be the one to beat, and an hour is easy to fit in after work. For a bigger group, book back to back hours or ask about a pickleball team building afternoon.
Friends from Bocking, Cressing and Coggeshall book it for birthdays and Friday nights, and families come to play with teenagers who are often better than their parents within the hour.
The barn is private and indoors, so the weather never gets a say and there are no strangers on the next court. Put your own music on the Sonos speakers and play your way.
£20 an hour, no membership
Court hire is a flat £20 an hour for up to 4 players, 60 minutes per booking, with no peak pricing and no membership. Paddles and balls are set up and ready, so all you need is a pair of trainers. We are open 7 days a week, there is free WiFi in the barn, and booking online takes about 2 minutes.
Want a coach for your first go? Jason's Hour is £45 with court hire included. Jason is a Pickleball England Level 1 coach and his sessions are by arrangement, so get in touch through our Contact page and we will put you in touch.
