Foxes Pickleball is a private indoor court in a converted barn on our working farm at Eight Ash Green, around 35 minutes from Ipswich. Head down the A12 past Colchester, come off at junction 26 and you are almost there. When you book, the court is yours for the hour.
Worth the drive from Suffolk
If you love padel, you will love this. Pickleball has the same quick, sociable rallies, with a slower ball and a smaller court, so beginners are playing proper points within about 10 minutes. You do not need to be sporty and you do not need any kit.
Groups come from Ipswich, Capel St Mary, East Bergholt and Manningtree because it turns a night out into a proper outing. Share the drive, play for an hour or book 2 back to back, and you are home by the time most evenings are getting going.
The court is indoors and private, so there are no strangers on the next court and the weather never gets a say. Put your own playlist on the Sonos speakers, laugh at the misses and celebrate every winner as loudly as you like.
It suits birthday groups, couples after a date night with a bit of competition, families with teenagers and teams from work who have run out of social ideas. Up to 4 players can play per booking, and you can swap players in and out across back to back hours if more of you want a turn.
£20 an hour, everything included
A booking covers up to 4 players for 60 minutes at a flat £20 an hour, with no peak rates and no membership. Paddles and balls are ready on court, the floor is carpeted, and there is parking on site and free WiFi. We are open 7 days a week and booking online takes about 2 minutes.
